The Land Trust Standards and Practices represent the land trust movement's consensus on what it takes to operate a professional, ethical, and credible land trust. LTA is encouraging land trusts to adopt and implement the Land Trust Standards and Practices (S&P), guidelines for the responsible operation of a land trust that is run legally, ethically, and in the public interest, and that conducts a sound program of land transactions and stewardship.
